Scottish International Piano Competition 2017
We are proud to let you all know that all the three finalists at the 2017 Scottish International Piano Competition - Can Cakmur (1st prize), Florian Mitrea (2nd prize) and Luka Okros (3rd prize) - selected the FAZIOLI concert grand for their performance at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra conducted by Thomas Søndergård.
In order to make the competition as fair as possible for everybody involved, three piano brands were placed on stage: Steinway, Bösendorfer and Fazioli. In the various rounds, the contestants had to play different pianos chosen by drawing, with exception of the final, where the pianists were asked to choose their preferred instrument.
